YOUR COMMON QUESTIONS

All You Need to Know

HOW OFTEN SHOULD MASTIC BE REPLACED?

For best results mastic should be replaced every 3-5 years depending on its condition. This allows the mastic to be flexible and continue to seal the joint from water penetration and erosion. Once it starts to crack, peel and fail - its time to have it done.

HOW LONG DOES YOUR REPAIR SERVICE TAKE?

Each job depends on footage for duration of the service, an average residential pool can take anywhere from 2-3 hours to be completed.

CAN MASTIC REPAIR BE A DIY JOB?

Short answer - yes. However it can be a frustrating, painful and messy job for first timers. We have been hired many times after a homeowner attempted to tackle it themselves. Pouring mastic neatly and professionally is a bit of an art. With thousands of hours of experience we believe it is one of those jobs where hiring a professional is the clear choice. It needs to be done correctly for best results.
